Spring!

Every year, the same thing happens. You almost feel sick after all the longing. No power, no energy, no spirit left from last year. And then suddenly something happens. The sun shines stronger, the flowers of spring appear and the birds’ starts to sing in the early morning. The spark of life returns.

Snowstorms and drifted ice are forgotten. I want to change, if not the world, my own life. It could be brilliant if I just make a few changes. New, but old plans. Recognized, from a new angle – they are new. Perfect. I will discover the world once again.

I do want to go on seeking and finding, communicating and supplying information. I do like to work from idea to reality. I look for creative and flexible challenges to get my teeth into. I seek for new challenges. And I will charge my battery with new experiences: Visiting islands from Manhattan to Bali, practise athletics, enjoy culture and cats, and of course keep on networking...

My Bucket List; Things To Do Before I Die

I believe life is a magnificent adventure. But, it is time to prepare a bucket list, a life list in order to realize my dreams. I will now take time for reflections to take necessary steps to fulfill my life. It is not about a complete turnaround, rather a kind of reminder. If you cannot find the perfect moment, try to make the moment perfect. Because:

“None of us is promised tomorrow, which makes me wonder if maybe we all shouldn’t be living as if we’re on our final journey home”, says Barbara Baumgardner and she continues “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming, WOW, WHAT A RIDE!”

I have decided to end my ride with a glass of wine in one hand, a chocolate bar in the other and a big smile in my face – and still feel attractive. I will remember all interesting meetings, after works and flirts. I will definitely remember all exciting tours around the world, experiencing various cultures and different adventures. I love to meet new people and old friends. For this reason I will continue experience even more restaurants and new special meals and nice wine.

And my list? Yes, it is my personal list, which I will update over and over again.

From Texas to the heart of the Inca world

Half of the year you long for the summer vacations. And then? Did it work out as planned? Or is it the planning, longing and the selected memories in colorful photos making it all worth? I don´t know. But, I know that shortly I will start it all over again; to plan for my next adventure, finding new dreams. Such is life.

This year´s adventure started with the Zonta International´s 60th convention in San Antonio, Texas. I met wonderful women from all over the world, who all want to support women and advance the status of women worldwide. http://www.zonta.org/. Fantastic! Then sailing on a steamboat of jazz on the Mississippi river in New Orleans – it rocks.

But, discovering the heart of the Inca world and exploring the Amazonas’s rainforest was striking: Dirt, sweat and with 62 insect bites. But, the symphony of birds, friendly people and fantastic experiences beats it all. All the hiking and the views! Sailing on the lake Titicaca to the Islas Uros, where people live their lives on floating islands. Walking in the Andes on 4,000 meter made it hard to breath. How did people live then in the Inca heartland? The spectacular Machu Picchu in the mist-cloaked lost city of the Incas makes you wonder. Lovely lamas and alpacas, snow-covered mountains, purling streams in the valleys.

Back home arises anti-climax. Appendectomy and a feeling of emptiness. You realize that the everyday life is the best. Lazy days living in the present. Listen to the music you love, eating the food you are used to and sleeping in your very own bed. I must travel, as a vitmininjection, to see that I love the everyday life back home.

The harmony of the soul

On one hand I want to dance and laugh with friends, converse and chat about life to find the clever answers and find new adventures and long journeys. To discover the world. On the other hand I need to reflect in thinking, writing, reading, and painting to find out if the answers are the best ones.

Is it easier to be creative when you are feeling down than when your life is just fabulous? No. But it seems that when you are down and introvert you take the time to spend in creating, painting, writing and thinking. And when seeing your thoughts in colors, in music or in text make you understand and learn more about life and the choices you make and why you are acting the way you are. A kind of occupational therapy.

As a stressed ”experience addicted”, the extrovert life must balance. The drive for creating is the answer. Taking time out for feeling the rhythm of the music, dancing the melody of the mind, painting mirrors of feelings and writing the harmony of the soul. To create a symphony of the life. That´s life!

Don´t forget the daily dialogue

Count only the years in your life, and you might forget all the important moments. The close dialogue will die. Social media are media for social interaction between us who do not have the time or money to phone, meet and write long letters. For us who like to have a daily chat. And when we use the web-based technologies to transform and broadcast media monologues into social media chats and dialogues we do support the democratization of knowledge and information.

If you are question these channels, and refuse to accept them, you miss to participate in the ongoing dialogue both in your private life and in your business life. I believe that public relations in social media are more efficient and visible than traditional marketing for most of the target groups, if not for all of them.

But the more channels the better. The digital world will never replace personal meetings and spontaneous moments entirely. Integrated marketing communications coordinates the elements of the promotional mix. Social media is a marketing tool to produce focused messages and a complement in external environment monitoring.

Femininity

Just leave a little room for imagination to keep the mystery alive. Facile and vain women live long rich lives. But, “being a woman is a terribly difficult task, since it consists principally in dealing with men,” said Joseph Conrad.

It is easier to play the game. To affirm the femininity encourage the creativity.
